Here are a few inspiring examples from my latest E-Bay purchases.  I just can’t resist chasing stuff that BigClive finds.  You might have to zoom in on these.

The Banner Pictures

The banner pictures involve three of my projects:

  1. The Annunciator – this is an old annunciator from my grandfathers’s electrical workshop at the American Fabrics Company in Bridgeport, CT.  It’s being activated by the Raspberry Pi that’s housing this blog.  The Pi scans for emails (and texts routed thorough email via ITTT) and triggers a channel based on the sender.  A defined list of known senders – mostly family of course – is what we watch for.
  2. The Lamp – part of the store room to electronics lab project – Steampunk themed
  3. The Control Panel – this panel controls a small solar power plant that is used for lighting in the electronics lab and in the workshop.  Also used to charge power banks and so forth

Various Calculating Tools

Various calculating machines I’ve collected.  The Curta is by far the most rare and valuable.

Also a TI-57 (an early programmable calculator) and  a Post Versalog slide rule
